The media has been widely publicising the reforms currently being undertaken in Saudi Arabia by the current Prince Mohammed Bin Salman. His changes have come as a revolutionary surprise to most such as permitting women to drive in the Kingdom and opening up theatres and opera houses in the coming years.
It is envisaged that investors will be bidding for project work in Saudi Arabia following the series of announcements with a view to capitalising on the opportunities. The Prince’s visit to the UK to meet Theresa May and the Queen is certainly an important one to strengthen the relationship between both countries. It is clear that the Prince is encouraging foreign investment into Saudi Arabia and his visit will provide some level of assurance to that extent.
The UK Prime Minister will also be looking for a security and defence relationship as well as economic ties to the country. It will be interesting to see how the two nations develop over the coming months and years but it is certainly an exciting time for our investors from both sides of the country.
